Editor's Letter

Hi everyone,

A very Happy Chinese New Year!

This first newsletter of 2009 finds our world even more deeply entrenched in a climate of economic uncertainty. This year could be one of great anxiety and gloom… or it could be a wonderful opportunity for each of us to be reminded of the things in life which matter most, even as we tighten our purse strings and try and make the dollar stretch further!

The greatest joys (and possibly some of the greatest travails!) and the best investments we can make will be in the people we love, in that beautiful bedrock of society, the family. These investments do not have to be costly materially, yet the rewards can be astounding.

I hope that through the choice of articles for the newsletter this year, we will be able to get an idea here, an inspiration there, to progress in hope and love in our own families, grounded in and strengthened by them.
